Thrive’s Response to Hurricane Helene

To our amazing Thrive family:

We hope that everyone is safe and getting everything they need during these unprecedented times. Hurricane Helene has brought so much heartbreak and devastation to our region, but it has also shown us how amazing our community can be when it comes to helping neighbors. For that, we are grateful.

We wanted to reach out to let you know that Thrive’s offices will be closed until further notice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff. Staff may be at the office periodically, but the time and duration of staffing is not guaranteed.  It seems like both our admin office and Clubhouse held up well. Our Clubhouse members are all accounted for and staff is working on getting members what they need. Housing staff are working as they are able to do what they can for our clients and community.

IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF RESOURCES

We will continue to share resources for our region on our Facebook page. Most resources will focus on Henderson, Polk, Transylvania, and Rutherford counties since that is where our services are focused. We will also share some resources for other area of WNC as they come our way.

IF YOU CAN HELP

We will also be sharing any needed items and volunteer opportunities in the community as we see them. If you are able to donate supplies to shelters or drop off locations – that is the best way to help the community right now.

We expect that our services will be needed more than ever as we begin to see how much devastation has occurred throughout our community. The best way to help Thrive’s clients – both current and future – is through monetary donations.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Please reach out if there is anything we can do for you and we will do our best. Please stay safe and remember you are not alone
